Priya Luna McDowell, Vocals & Harmonium, is a kirtan leader rooted in bhakti yoga, offering mantra through an angelic, steady voice shaped by a lifelong immersion in sacred sound. Her chanting feels like a gentle invocation—tender, prayerful, and deeply present—inviting listeners into stillness, devotion, and shared remembrance.
John McDowell, Keyboard & Djembe, is an acclaimed musician and film composer whose work spans the Academy Award–winning Born Into Brothels and decades of collaboration within the kirtan and world-music community, including producing albums for Krishna Das. His playing carries a rare depth and warmth, weaving global traditions into a sound that feels both ancient and intimate, and he is the father of kirtan leader Priya McDowell.
Steve Gorn, Bansuri Bamboo Flute, notes are said to “re-align the cells,” its breathy, luminous tone guiding listeners into spaciousness and deep inner listening. Featured on Grammy- and Academy Award–winning recordings, his music moves effortlessly between Indian classical tradition and meditative soundscapes, creating an experience that is both grounding and transcendent.
Will McCollum, vocal responses & harmonium, is a devoted practitioner of bhakti yoga whose calm, resonant voice anchors the rhythm of collective chanting. His presence supports the flow of kirtan with steadiness and heart, deepening the shared devotional field through attentive listening and response.
Noah Hoffeld, cello & vocals, is a musician and meditation teacher whose soulful cello playing weaves warmth, depth, and contemplative stillness into every performance. Heard on Grammy-winning recordings and collaborations with artists such as Krishna Das and Natalie Merchant, his sound moves fluidly between intimacy and expansiveness, grounding listeners in a deeply felt, heart-centered experience.
Naren Budhakar, tabla, brought up in the Indian classical music tradition and began performing Tabla at a young age. A disciple of Tabla Maestro Ustad Shabbir Nisar, Naren has played with prominent instrumentalists, vocalists and dancers including Pandit Birju Maharaj, Ustad Amjad Ali Khan, Pandit Jasraj and Shaed Parvez.
