This program is to commemorate the birthday of the great mystic poet Jalal ad-Din Rumi on September 30. It will be a dramatic presentation of selections of his writings – poetry, stories and sayings – to give a fuller picture of Rumi’s journey within the Sufi (mystic) path. The evening will also incorporate Sufi chanting, which the audience can join in, and music to allow participants to experience the spiritual ecstasy from which Rumi’s expressions poured out.
Preceded by Meditation & Selected Readings with Joan Suval beginning at 7:00PM (by donation).
