Geena Williams began practicing yoga as a physical therapy in 1992. She then studied Viniyoga, an asana-based therapeutic practice. Combining yoga training with bodywork has been a passion of hers for many years. While living in Southern California, she also studied with Self Realization Fellowship, founded by Paramahansa Yogananda. She began teaching yoga at the Ventura YMCA in 2006 and continued for eleven years. Geena discovered Ananda Ashram in 2017 and has remained there, working in the kitchen, studying Vegan cooking, and furthering her studies of Eastern philosophy and Western psychology.
