Mahesha has studied Yoga philosophy since his youth and has been a devotee of Shri Brahmananda Sarasvati for over 15 years. He is past president of the Board of Trustees of the Yoga Society of New York. Together with his wife Shalini he has a small design company - Kailash Design. They are the creators/webmasters of Ananda Ashram's website. Professionally, Mahesha is a geology professor in Pennsylvania who studies the Appalachian Mountains. He is an experienced hiker and surfer.
