Ranjan Nandi

Ranjan Nandi began his music studies at an early age. A disciple of the famed Tabla player Abhijit Banerjee, he has a Master’s degree in Tabla from Rabindra Bharati University in Kolkata. He also received a Gold Medal from Bharatiya Sangeet Academy. He has performed with many well-known Indian artists including Pt. Manilal Nag, Pt. Sanjoy Banerjee, Pt. Buddhadev Dasgupta, Pt. Dipak Chowdhari and Pt. Kamal Mullick. Ranjan has been a teacher at Dhwani Academy in Kolkata and organizer of their Tarang band. Presently he is teaching in New York. |
