Sanjay Verma has been learning Tabla from his father, Dr. Narendra Verma, and from Ustad Zakir Hussain. He has performed in Canada and the U.S. with many reputable classical instrumentalists, vocalists and Kathak dancers, and has participated in world music collaborations. Whether as an accompanist or a soloist, his Tabla playing demonstrates virtuosity, dynamism and a knowledge of complex rhythms. Sanjay completed an MBA at the University of Texas and is based in Toronto, Canada, where he works in Finance and Marketing, teaches Tabla and performs regularly.
